Leonel Valle and Jeffrey Newburger first collaborated in New York’s downtown theaters, dance stages, art studios and on site specific art installations around the country. Then in 2002 they created Lionfish Design. Since then, they've enjoyed over 15 years of successful collaboration designing scenery, environments and experiences for their clients. Leonel and Jeffrey each bring their own unique design sensibilities and technical strengths to each project giving it a well formed aesthetic and well thought out plan for execution, no matter the scale or budget. With their constant collaboration, every project has the attention of 2 experienced designers behind it working through design challenges and figuring out the right technical solutions.
With backgrounds and training in theatrical design - Leonel from Universidad de Bellas Artes, Argentina and Jeffrey from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts - Lionfish has a solid foundation which has been built upon over it's years of design experience.
